Hosta 'Summer Breeze'

In 1999, Mark Zilis registered this tissue culture sport of H. 'Summer Music'. This medium to large hosta grows to about 19 to 22 inches in height and a width of 45 to 50 inches. Its leaves are very broadly ovate, wavy, slightly corrugated and a bit unruly with good substance. The pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...one of the best sports developed at my nursery over the last twenty-five years...margin remains an attractive gold color throughout the growing season."

Similar cultivars include H. 'Last Dance' and H. 'Nickelodeon'.

Sports include H. 'Lettuce Salad', H. 'Quite Contrary', H. 'Stitch in Time' and H. 'Summer Lovin'.
