Hosta 'Heart's Content'

This cultivar is hybrid of H. 'Breeder's Choice' × H. 'Polly Bishop' from Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts which was registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It forms a large size mound of heart shaped foliage that is slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and of better than average substance. Long, pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August. It sets viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "When introduced for sale, 'Heart's Content' sold for $150. It makes an excellent landscape plant and, owing to the many seed pods that develop, can be useful in a breeding program."
