Hosta 'Naomi'

Originated by Heinz Klose of Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany but registered in 2006 by Peter Ruh of Ohio on his behalf, this small size (9 inches  high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage but part of the Tardiana Group. Its leaves are dark green, ovate, flat and waxy on top. Tubular, slightly striped flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes about 11 inches tall.

The following poem by Judy Burns of Georgia was included in  The Hosta Journal (2010 Vol. 41 No. 1).

I love 'Lady Isobel Barnett',
She's my favorite hosta, and yet,
I also love 'Francee',
'Naomi' and 'Nancy',
And 'Abby', and 'June', and 'Coquette'.
