Somewhat vase shaped with branches forming a dome-like crown.
30 to 40 feet
Greenish yellow on 2 to 3 inch corymbose racemes in April and May.
 
Opposite, simple, 5-lobed (7), 3 to 6” across, each lobe tapering to a long, narrow acuminate apex, entire, truncate or cordate, dark green above, lighter beneath, pubescent on veins; petiole 2 to 4” long, pubescent, milky sap at base.
 
 
Smooth, gray with irregular, shallow fissures.
Samaras 3/4 to 1 1/4 inches long that spread horizontally.
