First true leaves
of seedlings are opposite while later leaves are
alternate and all of them have a fetid odor when
crushed.
Often confused with
corn chamomile (A.
arvensis) which does not have the nasty
odor. Sometimes confused with pineapple weed (Matricaria
discoidea) which has a pleasant scent of
pineapple.
