Mound
6-9 inches tall and 6 inches wide
There are 10-20 flowers carried on a corymb-like flower structure. The star-shaped, pure white flowers are 1-2 inches wide and are striped green on the outside of the segment. The green is hardly noticeable when the flowers are fully opened. The flowers open late in the day, usually just before noon and close before night.
Late spring
The bulbs produce a tuft of narrow (⅛ inch wide), smooth leaves, each 9-12 inches long. The foliage has a grass-like appearance.
