Upright, vigorous shrub.
Up to 9 feet tall.
Lilac-purple in 4 to 6 inch panicles.
May-June
Opposite, simple, elliptic to ovate-oblong, larger than those of S. meyeri or S. microphylla, 2 to 5” long, 1/2 to 2” wide. Dull, dark green on top and slightly pubescent on the bottom.
Reasonably good.
 
 
 
 
 
  • 'Miss Kim' - Smaller shrub with 3 inch long panicles of fragrant, icy blue flowers.
