This cultivar is a sport of a hybrid of H. 'Beatrice' × H. 'Rhapsody in Blue' originated by Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio and Mark Zilis who registered it in 2009. The fast growing plant grows to a medium size with a height of 13 inches and a width of 32 inches. The leaves are very wavy with average substance. and the margin becomes whiter as the season progresses. Its lavender flowers bloom from August into October.
