Hosta venusta 'Kifukurin'

An article by W. George Schmid in The Hosta Journal  (1996 Vol. 27 No. 2) states that This is a duplicate, incorrect or outdated name for Hosta venusta 'Kifukurin Otome'.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kifukurin or ki fukurin as yellow edge(d) or yellow margin(ed) and the term otome as maiden, 'Otome Gibōshi' or H. venusta.

There are at least 4 plants with this name but each one comes from a different species including H. kikutii 'Kifukurin', H. longissima 'Kifukurin', H. pulchella 'Kifukurin' and H. venusta 'Kifukurin'.
