Hosta 'L.E.W.'

This cultivar was registered by Russ Willar of Ontario, Canada in 2008 as a sport of H. 'Olive Bailey Langdon'. It is a large size plant about 24 inches high by 46 inches wide with chartreuse yellow colored leaves. The foliage is slightly rippled, broadly ovate, slightly cupped, heavily corrugated and dull on top with thick substance. Near white, tubular flowers bloom from mid-June into July.

An article by Warren I. Pollock in The Hosta Journal (2009 Vol. 40 No. 3) states that the cultivar H. 'L.E.W.' was named by Russ Willar for his wife, Linda Ellen Willar.
