Bright colors can be available in your garden all year long if you select shrubs for their colorful foliage. Deciduous plants are included in the list below and evergreen types are marked with an asterisk (*). All should be placed with care, as brightly colored leaves make a bold statement in the landscape.

Of course, another way to display colorful foliage is in the fall.
