There are hundreds of beautiful public (and private) gardens in England, Scotland and Wales. We have visited many of them but will surely never see them all or tire from the effort. This is a breakdown of the gardens we have seen listed by their county. Distances are short in England compared to America so it is easy to visit many sites of historic and/or horticultural interest in a single day.
