Opposite, simple, ovate or broad-ovate, 3 to 5” long, 1 to 2 1/2” wide.
 
 
Essentially glabrous which permits easy separation from V. dilatatum.
Showy red drupes.
 
 
  • 'Hessei' - Compact form with attractive foliage and waxy red fruit.
It is closely related to V. dilatatum.
